Siport21 acquired this software developed by Alkyon (Arcadis, The Netherlands) in 2002, having been used for more than 20 years in hundreds of complex projects with the aim of simulating the dynamic behaviour of moored ships or floating structures under the influence of wind, waves, and currents.
Since early 2024, following the successful transfer of ownership from ARCADIS, Siport21 has taken full control of this advanced simulation tool which allows our expert engineers to improve the software as well as to modify and create new numerical models of vessels.
Ship-Moorings remains at the forefront of maritime engineering, providing detailed insights into ship behaviour when moored, supporting the safety, efficiency, and optimization of port operations. Siport21’s ongoing work ensures that clients benefit from state-of-the-art solutions in berth operability, mooring configuration, and risk assessment.
With a proven track record in over 650 projects worldwide, Siport21 continues to invest in new features and improvements to Ship-Moorings, consolidating its position as a trusted partner for port authorities, designers, and operators seeking reliable, data-driven support in their maritime projects.
