
Siport21, the maritime and port consultancy company, has obtained the quality management system certification by the ISO 9001:2015 standard. This certificate is valid for the development of projects and technical assistance in nautical studies: navigation and manoeuvring studies in port areas, mooring and anchoring studies; as well as the development of training programmes for merchant marine officers and captains, and Port Pilots.
This certification improves the Siport21 brand positioning against its clients, especially for those who, in the same way, have a supplier management system based on ISO 9001. To obtain the certification, the company has documented its activity and critical processes, taking into account its environment, stakeholders, risk and opportunities.
ISO 9001 is an International Quality Management Guideline, which demonstrates the commitment to continual improvement and quality, ensure the legal and client requirements, and help to improve the performance of the organization.
2021 has been a paramount year for Siport21. This year the company has achieved the DNV certification, such as Maritime Training Provider and the combined International Maritime Organization learning programme: IMO 1.22 (Ship Simulator and Bridge Teamwork) and IMO 1.39 (Leadership and Teamwork).
Upon obtaining these certificates, Siport21 has reached one of its main objectives: satisfy the expectations and needs of its clients, based on the continuous process improvement, and support in qualified and efficient human resources.

More than 20 years’ experience, Siport21 is a maritime and port engineering consultancy company focused on ship manoeuvring and ship behaviour. Their facilities include a Real-Time Ship Manoeuvre Simulation Center approved by DNV as the only Maritime Training Provider in Spain.
Until now, they have carried out more than 1.300 projects in 53 countries. Also, they have trained 1.700 seafarers from international shipping companies intheir Simulation Center.
