The maritime port consultancy, Siport21, has appointed Aitor Acha Bedialauneta as the new General Manager, replacing Jose R. Iribarren, who will continue as the company’s CEO.
Aitor Acha, a Civil Engineer, began his professional career as a Project Manager at various national and international construction companies. Later, he joined the Port Authority of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, where he held multiple positions in the Infrastructure and Operational Development Departments, eventually becoming the director of the port authority. After leaving the Port Authority, he returned to the private sector, assuming the general management of a maritime terminal management and passenger service company.
In 2024, he led the Commercial and Business Development Department at Siport21, where he has been driving the commercial area, identifying new business opportunities within the maritime and port sectors, and strengthening its national and international presence. Acha’s appointment aligns with the company’s future vision. He will be directly responsible for all areas of the organization and its management to ensure its growth, profitability, and alignment with the organization’s objectives.
On the other hand, Iribarren will be more focused on the strategic framework and the institutional representation of the company in the sector.
Siport21 is currently experiencing a period of growth and expansion, which is being accompanied by the strengthening of its professional team to face new challenges and opportunities.
